2012 Jamie Muenzer

Jamie Muenzer comes to us from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design Architecture & Planning where she studied Fine Arts and Art Education. While Jamie mainly uses clay she utilizies various mediums in her creations, most of which are made to be part of a eclectic wall installation. Sculptural, non-sculptural, 2D, on the wall, lights, wood... Jamie will manipulate, transform and construct a plethora of pieces, one informing the other, and present a imaginative and often whimsical ensemble. Some of the individual pieces are enhanced with elaborate and/or simple surface design bringing it to a higher sophistication. Currently Jamie, along with the other artists in residence, is examining the nature of superstition and its various entities. She is focusing on the field of astrology and dissecting the consequential effect it has on the human condition.
